39th Annual Light Up A Life Sponsorship Opportunity

Hospice SLO County’s “Light up a Life” remembrance ceremonies have been an annual tradition in San Luis Obispo County since 1984. Each year, hundreds of families gather to remember their loved ones. These heartwarming remembrances are held in five locations throughout the county in late November and early December. In 2022, over 600 names were read at these well-attended ceremonies.

Hospice SLO County, a volunteer hospice organization provides bereavement counseling, practical care, respite, and care management—completely FREE of charge to anyone grieving the loss of a loved one or struggling with a life-limiting illness. 

Your sponsorship helps us continue to bring grief support to our community members. Additionally, your generosity and support of Light Up A Life 2023 will support Hospice SLO County’s ability to recruit, train, supervise, and support our volunteers. Our small staff and large corps of volunteers support the community through in-home support, grief counseling, support groups, pet services, and care management.
