Grover Beach West Grand Ave Grant Program
Grover Beach Now Accepting West Grand Avenue Business Grant Program Applications
Grover Beach, CA – Eligible Grover Beach businesses can now apply for a new grant program designed to support local businesses in the area of West Grand Avenue Streetscape Project construction. This initiative focuses on assisting businesses located within the construction area, which extends from Highway 1 to 10th Street. Grants of up to $2,000 will be available. “Our small businesses are the heart of Grover Beach, and we know that construction projects like this, while beneficial in the long run, can create hurdles,” said Grover Beach Mayor Kassi Dee. “This grant program is an opportunity for us to help them through this period, so they can continue to thrive long after the work is done.” The West Grand Avenue Streetscape Project is a vital investment in the future of Grover Beach, aimed at enhancing the vitality, accessibility and safety of the City’s main commercial corridor. As the project progresses toward its anticipated completion in April, the City is working proactively to ensure businesses along the corridor have the resources they need to stay strong and continue serving residents and visitors. On Jan. 27, the City Council allocated funding from the General Fund to establish this grant program as part of a mid-year budget adjustment, making a total of 20 grants available. The City will partner with the South County Chambers of Commerce to coordinate and administer the grant program. An online application is now available for businesses to apply. The program is open to any business within the project area, with priority given to those that are publicly visible and directly engaged with customers in the construction zone. The application period will remain open until March 7, and grant recipients will receive awards by April 30 following City Council approval. “We know the West Grand Avenue streetscape will bring significant long-term benefits to the community, but we also recognize the short-term impacts on small businesses,” said Grover Beach City Manager Matt Bronson. “This grant program is one way we can provide direct support to help them get through this transition. We encourage all eligible businesses to apply and take advantage of this opportunity.” To apply for the business grant, visit the application link.
