About Us

We seek to create a safe space for discovery where children can learn through interactive activities and play. We focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) and environmental stewardship to inspire youth to get involved locally and globally.

At the EDC, children can explore various topics such as Geology, Archaeology, Astronomy, Science and Art through different exhibits, activities, and workshops. They can also learn to solve problems, think creatively, experiment, and appreciate music and art via rotating exhibits, play activities, and special workshops.

We celebrate and learn about different cultures from around the world through our multi-cultural exhibits. Our exhibits change regularly and allow children to experience creativity in various ways. Our exhibits, classes, and workshops also reflect the socio-cultural diversity of our community.

Special Saturday events are free to the public and include events such as Family Creative Dance + Movement, Aviation Day, Badge Buddies-Little Explorers Police Adventure, Pumpkins: Rolling into Halloween Science, Whimsical Wonders Ornament Workshop, Zoo To You, Family Yoga Workshops, Ukulele Workshops, Rocket Building Workshop and other special events.

The EDC helps our community recycle and reuse electronics by letting them drop off their old devices at the EDC every day. We also have a program called “Electric Saturdays” where people can come on the first Saturday of each month and get donated electronics that still work (like laptops, desktops, TVs, monitors, printers) for free.
