SCORE workshop at The Launch Pad: Marketing your Unique Business

Join us for this free, in-person workshop at The Launch Pad cowork space in Grover Beach.

Learn how to identify your "Unique Selling Position(s)," the key component of any successful business. The philosophy of branding and five critical "Ps" of every successful marketing strategy will also be discussed. This workshop is open to the local business community.

Joe Whitaker’s business career has been spent primarily in the field of marketing. As a former head of marketing for Mattel Toys, Columbia Pictures, and Lorimar Productions, he later used these skills as an independent consultant for small- and mid-sized children’s product and entertainment firms. He’s been a member of SCORE San Luis Obispo for seven years and considers his mentoring of small-business owners one of his most satisfying achievements.

Michael Gordon's industry experience includes arts, entertainment, recreation, food/beverage, manufacturing, retail, and transportation. His areas of expertise include accounting, finance, business planning, management, operations, and marketing.

SCORE provides free, confidential, one-on-one business counseling by phone, email, and in-person in San Luis Obispo County and the Santa Maria Valley. They also conduct workshops for both start-up entrepreneurs and seasoned small-business owners.
