Following the successes of last year's inaugural season of "The Baby Dance" and "Footloose the Musical" and this spring's "Steel Magnolias", we are excited to bring this classic story to the stage. Meredith Willson's "The Music Man" is a heartwarming and humorous musical about a traveling con man, Harold Hill, who poses as a music instructor in the small town of River City, Iowa. He aims to con the townspeople into purchasing band instruments and uniforms, but his plans are complicated when he falls for the local librarian and piano teacher, Marian Paroo. Despite his fraudulent intentions, Harold's charm and genuine connection with the town's young people, particularly Marian's younger brother Winthrop, lead Marian to reconsider her initial skepticism and begin to fall for him.
