97% of the vineyards are planted six or fewer miles from the Pacific, the soils range from marine to volcanic, and the prevailing climate is among the most pronounced of any wine region in California. Though primarily focused on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the AVA is an increasingly popular site for aromatic varieties such as Albariño, Riesling and Grüner Veltliner as well as ideal for cool-climate Rhône reds like Grenache and Syrah.

With Louisa Lindquist of Verdad Wine Cellars and Sawyer Lindquist Wines. Louisa is passionate about Iberian grape varietal wines, mostly from organic and biodynamic grapes grown on the Central Coast. She keeps the production small and focuses on quality and balanced wines that reflect the coastal vineyards in which they are grown. Weather permitting we'll walk the Reeves vineyard followed by a special tasting of her wines in the SummerSky Barn, including the only Edna Valley Tempranillo produced.

Paula will share their rich history, walk us through production, treat us to a barrel tasting then lead us in a seated VIP tasting.
