Clark Center - Artist Reception - Nicolette Mathieson
An artist since 4, Nicolette feels both peace and excitement in creating each new painting. Each original is a miracle as she is painting while experiencing constant nerve pain from an auto accident with large truck in 2006 who ran his stop sign, and also breaking her right arm and hurting her fingers in 2020. Known for her perseverance, and fighting the pain, she decided to start 24 x 36 mixed media abstracts with texture in 2023: Abstract Expressionism. Painting is therapy for her as she enjoys "getting into the zone". This gives her moments of distraction from the pain while listening to peaceful, uplifting K-Love music. Painting makes Nicolette very happy. Many viewers have told her these textured abstracta are Happy Art and often ask, "Can I touch it?" She loves that! She has her large abstracts on canvas made into prints and unique art Tshirts & art notecards using sections of original. Aquamedia art also available. Living on the Central Coast for over 42 years, "I love to be creative!" Thank you for appreciating my artwork! Enjoy!
