The City to the Sea half marathon is a point-to-point race that starts in the happiest city in America, San Luis Obispo. The course winds through downtown, takes runners along picturesque backroads, vineyards, and bike trails within the county, and ends alongside the beautiful Pacific Ocean in the quaint sun-soaked coastal community of Pismo Beach at beloved Dinosaur Caves Park.
The half marathon course has five aid stations (miles: 2, 5, 7, 10 & 12), all of which will have water and restrooms. Three of these will have FLUID sports drink.
The half marathon course will be open for three and a half hours. All walkers and runners must finish within the three and a half hours cutoff time. Walkers are welcome to begin the race before 7:00am start time. No baby joggers, strollers, skates, or pets are allowed on the course. Wheelchair athletes are welcome.
